RASHOMON: Reloaded was produced by REBATEnsemble Theatre Group in 2015. The script was adapted from Akira Kurosawa's hit film "Rashomon" by director Tom Dang.
Performances took under the I-5 freeway bridge in South Lake Union Park and utilized the natural sounds as part of the performance; cars driving over the I-5 bridge created the "rainstorm" and the sound of wind blowing through the willow tree created the forest setting. The adaptation modernized the language and nearby graffiti enhanced this effect. The play ran one hour and thirty minutes with one ten minute intermission. Maximum capacity was thirty seats per show. The cast breakdown was: 88% Actors under 30 75% Actors of Color 38% Women |
